Blue Have
Farms welcomes Final's Goldwell back to
Tennessee. He has one of the best pedigrees and the
head shake and movement of the old time walking
horses. Goldwell has impeccable manners and has
passed on his incredible backend and over-stride to
his offspring.

What can I say about
this spectacular and most special stallion? I brought
him to Blue Haven Farms 3 years ago (2004). As a two
year old he was being groomed to become a World Grand
Champion but severely injured his right hind leg and
developed lymph edema of that leg. I do not have the
entire history of events but know that his injury
prevented him from fulfilling that championship.
I have never seen a more natural walking and
head-shaking horse that Goldwell. He is small in
stature, approximately 15 hands but magnificent in style
and presence. When Blue Haven Farms was in Fayetteville,
TN people would stop and watch him shake his beautiful
head and do a natural running walk in his paddock.
|
Goldwell fell in
love with a mare across the fence and she, with him,
and so I decided to let them be together. They were
quite the pair and very sweet and “IN LOVE”. Since
that time Goldwell has always had at least one mare
with him. He is incredibly sweet and I can go into
the pasture and groom him without a halter, rope, or
anything. To say he has an incredible disposition is
an understatement.
This summer
Goldwell’s Final Edition was born. A golden
palomino colt out of an MG Gold, cremello mare. He
is a gorgeous, head-shaking, long striding walking
horse that would make an excellent flat-shod show
prospect and/or future stallion.
Goldwell has sired over 70 foals, some of which are
the show ring today. His book is closed to outside
breeding and he will live out his life happily with
a few of our chosen broodmares.
|
The book is closed on this fine
old breeding stallion, but we will still have
progeny of his for sale.

A Fancy Merger is safe in foal to
Final's Goldwell for a Spring 2010 foal. |

An examination of Final's Goldwell's Extended Pedigree reveals that the amount of genetic input from Midnight Sun is greater than that of a grandsire, and that the degree of Roan Allen F-38,
Pride Of Midnight HF,
Sun's Delight D. and Wilson's Allen blood is equivalent to that of a grandsire. The percentages of old walking bloodlines are as follows:
